72 hour UniHeat Heat Packs (shipping warmers) are perfect for aiding in the transport of temperature sensitive plants when temperatures drop below freezing. During shipping, your Cephalotus will be safe within its protective packaging as long as the temperatures stay above freezing. In complete darkness they will go into a semi-dormant state to minimize stress. If temperatures stay consistently below freezing, one 72 hour heat pack is recommended. Using too many heat packs in a box can cause the inside of the box to overheat. Cephalotus are not tropicals but rather warm-temperate plants that travel well in cooler temperatures.
